Chicago Bears Season Outlook: 2nd Quarter

Maurice Jones-Drew

Can MJD be the undoing of the Chicago Bear’s entire season?

According to my own sound reasoning, the Bears will either be 3-1 or 2-2 heading into the 2nd quarter of the 2012 NFL season. All things considered, 2-2 isn’t exactly reason for panic.

Luckily for the Bears, sandwiched between games 5 thru 8 is their bye week in week 6. And the next quartet of opponents appears to be a less daunting bunch… on paper.

But the Jaguars, Lions, Panthers and Titans will all be looking to show the Bears why the game isn’t played on paper.

Tennessee Titans 2012 Fantasy Preview

The Tennessee Titans may have been the most average team in the NFL last season while finishing 9-7 in a rather lackluster AFC South Division. Here are the guys in Tennessee that you should have on your list come time to do the fantasy draft. [Read more…]

We’re three weeks into the fantasy football season and the surprises just keep on coming. Cam Newton and Matthew Stafford are top-10 fantasy quarterbacks. Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings: The Injury Bug Bites

It shouldn’t surprise any of us. In a game as violent as football, injuries are bound to happen. Top-5 pick Jamaal Charles is out for season. Miles Austin is out until October 16th. Included in this week’s rankings, I’ll list some guys that could step in for your injured star this week.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings: Building on a strong week

If we learned one thing about the NFL in week one: the lockout certainly did not slow down the offensive numbers.  A ridiculous 14 quarterbacks had more than 300 yards, four of which went over 400. 13 receivers topped 100 yards, including seven double-digit touchdown performances. Needless to say, fantasy teams weren’t suffering. Now it’s time to build on that success and dominate week two of the fantasy season.

Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings: Football is Back!

We endured an offseason consisting of men in suits walking in and out of buildings. We endured a three-month stretch when the work “lockout” might as well have been preceded by a four-letter word. But courtrooms, politics, and league lawyers are now a thing of the past. Because ladies and gentleman, we’re finally here! The start of the NFL season is here!

Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 Round 6 Round 7

Round 8 Pick 1

Justin Mertes-Mistretta- The Sports Bank

Pick: RB Jerome Harrison CLE

Jerome Harrison ran for 561 yards and 5 TDs in the last three games of last season. Plus, the injury to Montario Hardesty allowed Harrison to move into the starting RB spot this off-season. I think the Browns will move the ball better than people think and Harrison will break out this year.

Round 8 Pick 2

Walter Cherepinsky- Walter Football

Pick: WR Robert Meachem NO

Robert Meachem is my top receiver available. Meachem came on at the end of the year and became a big red-zone target for Drew Brees.
