The NBA Draft Stock Report checks in on which players have made a name for themselves in the past week; either helping or hurting their future draft position.  These early pre-season tournaments give players great exposure matching up against marquee opponents on national television.  In this week’s addition,  a season ending injury hurts one players stock while a first round prospect ends up in Jim Calhoun‘s doghouse.

Big East Basketball Power Rankings (1-11-11)

There are three different sections to the Big East through two weeks of conference play: The top tier, potential NCAA Tournament teams, and the bottom five.  Pitt, Syracuse, and Villanova have earned the title of the teams to beat but the next eight are battling for their tourney lives already… and it is only the second week of January.  Here are my updated Big East basketball power rankings.

Cincinnati is still unbeaten.  West Virginia is really struggling.  UConn needs someone else to step up besides Kemba WalkerTCU is coming to water down the conference.   We learned a lot in the first week of Big East play so here are my updated power rankings.  Be sure to check back every Monday for an update.
