White Sox need more from Beckham, Dunn and Rios in 2012

The three big albatross contracts on the Chicago White Sox are those belonging to Adam Dunn, Alex Rios and Jake Peavy. They are the three most overpaid underachievers on the Sox; at least in 2011 anyway. They are three players most Sox fans point the finger at for what went wrong last year. I agree on the first two, but think the third biggest problem is Gordon Beckham.

Peavy however, does actually have a winning record during his stay on the south side, believe it or not. And he’s 1-0 with a 3.55 ERA this young season; making a very positive statement with his strong showing versus the Detroit Tigers on opening day.

Gordon Beckham to Minors?

Minor league seasoning could help boost, not reduce confidence of White Sox struggling 2nd baseman. After all “Bacon” is often crisper, after it’s been seasoned properly

Josie’s on a vacation far away…in AAA Charlotte.  This very well could be a realistic decision for Kenny Williams to ponder if the 2009 Sporting News Rookie of the Year, Gordon Beckham continues to struggle into June.

Chicago White Sox can’t beat anyone half-decent

Say what you want about the 2010 Chicago White Sox, but at least they hold true to form. Everyone talks about how up-and-down they are, how they (warning: a cliché as painful as Jim Belushi coming) “are consistently inconsistent.” But it’s not entirely true.
