Asante Samuel coming back to the Patriots?

asante_samuel

If Deion Branch and Josh McDaniels can come back into the fold, there’s no reason Asante Samuel can’t do the same. This year’s Wes Welker franchise tag situation is similar to how it played out when the New England Patriots slapped the tag on Branch and Samuel in the past. If Welker, wants to hold out, and leave- fine.

He’ll soon see the grass was greener where he was. Cornerback Asante Samuel needs to as well. Like the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, the Eagles are pretty desperate to sell

And consider this from The Victory Formation:

Why Does Andy Reid Still Have a Job?

andy-reid

The Indianapolis Colts announced the firing of head coach Jim Caldwell yesterday in light of a 2-14 record, minus the talents of Peyton Manning, who has been out all season due to neck surgery. While the Colts’ 2011 season is just plain sad, the firing of Caldwell makes this football fan wonder (yet again) why other head coaches such as the Philadelphia Eagles’ Andy Reid keeps his job after not just one, but many suck-tacular seasons.

When Will Philadelphia Eagles Start Mike Kafka at QB in a Game?

kafka

This week, Philadelphia Eagles superstar quarterback Michael Vick is mending from broken ribs. He stayed in the game, a season-deflating loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but he admitted to the media that his desire to play was a tad selfish and hurt the team. At 3-6, their season is over so there’s no reason to play Vick if he’s anything less than 100% this week. Vick is the franchise QB and needs to be protected. If not this week, then the final weeks of “garbage time” this NFL season is when we might see Vick rest.

The Eagles #QB2 Vince Young, has been inactive for much of the season. Meaning the emergency QB, the second year man from Northwestern Mike Kafka has slightly more playing time in 2011. His NFL debut came with a couple minutes left in the third quarter of the Eagles loss to the Atlanta Falcons in week two.

Philadelphia’s Mike Vick Pictured as Baby by New York Post

Mike Vick didn’t make any friends this week. The article the cover references is this article, with quotes from a bunch of Giants about how they believed their hits on Vick were perfectly clean. Of course they do.

Michael Vick (or is Mike Vick I don’t know) on Sunday voiced that he had some issues with how officials called the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Ne wYork Giants on Sunday. He wondered aloud publicly why hits on him don’t draw the same 15-yard penalties they draw when administered to other quarterbacks.

He even did the “hey, I’m not complaining” even though he was doing nothing but complaining bit, which of course is going to come across as whining.

Philadelphia Eagles Fans, Here’s the Dossier on QB Mike Kafka

Last night, a neck injury to Philadelphia Eagles superstar quarterback Michael Vick forced him to leave the nationally broadcast night game at the Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles lost, and Vick’s injury was revealed to be a concussion. Who knows if he’ll be back for next week?

The Eagles #QB2 Vince Young, was not active. (Not sure when he’ll be back either) Meaning the emergency QB, the second year man from Northwestern Mike Kafka had to go in. His NFL debut came with a couple minutes left in the third quarter, and his performance drew favorable reviews.

Get ready for the most “Kafkaesque” post ever, this is what you need to know about the Chicagoan signal caller.
