Ding Dong, Mavericks will Soon make L.A. Lakers Dead

Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks are proving they are no fluke in the Western Conference semifinals, taking a commanding 3-0 lead over the former two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

“Beat L.A.” was the chant Friday night that energized the Mavericks to a 98-92 decision in Game 3 on their hardwood at the sold out American Airlines Center. Nowitzki capped off the night with 32 points and nine rebounds. Jason Terry and Peja Stojakovic added a total of 38 points.

So Far, Marquee NBA Free Agents Staying Home

LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are still undecided.  But so far free agency has not provided the roster shake-ups that most were expecting.  Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay surprised some by deciding to stay home (which will ultimately screw over one of the teams with a ton of cap space.)  To nobody’s surprise Dirk Nowitzki and Paul Pierce are also staying home.  Here are David’s thoughts on what has happened so far this off-season.
