LeBron James and Kevin Durant

It’s almost that time of year again. Wait, is it? But football hasn’t even started its regular season yet? In less than three months, the NBA will be tipping-off the 2012-2013 season when the Boston Celtics travel to Miami to take on LeBron James and the Heat. With all that said, let’s take a look at 10 questions surrounding next season.

NBA Finals: Game 2 statistical prediction for LeBron James

LeBron James

I made a prediction about a week ago predicting LeBron James’ numbers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. I was almost spot-on. He finished with 30 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one block, and two steals. He shot 11-25 from the, 2-6 from three-point range, and 6-8 from the line. If you want to see what I predicted, just click here. Well, I am at it again. I predicted LeBron’s numbers for tonight’s Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Also, I included the data I used to help me predict what his numbers will be. Hope you enjoy it. (It might be a little hard to follow but I can’t it is hard to show and explain every step).

NBA Finals: My NBA Finals Christmas List

OKC v. Miami

With the NBA Finals tipping-off in a little over seven hours, I have made a list of 10 things that I am hoping to see from the Finals this year. I know making a list sounds silly and I probably won’t get half of what I put on my list (happens to me every Christmas). But here is a short story: Two years ago, I made a Christmas list of 10 things, roughly, that I wanted. Some of the things were simple items like: a gas card, socks, shorts, and headphones. The other part of the list consisted of some bigger items: groceries (I am a college kid), money, and I think I wrote down something outrageous, like a new laptop. OK. I am getting side-tracked. Here’s my list:

NBA Playoffs: Predicting LeBron James’ game tonight

LeBron James

There is no denying the significance of tonight’s Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat in Miami. After winning the first two games of the series, the Heat dropped the next two and allowed Boston to bring it back to Boston, to either close the door on the Heat’s season or stave-off elimination. Tonight’s game will decide the situation. But know that LeBron James should have a big game, but it doesn’t mean the Heat will win.  [Read more…]

NBA Playoffs: Kevin Durant is a “closer”

Kevin Durant

I have said this many times and will continue to say it until people realize it: Kevin Durant is the best BASKETBALL player on this planet. Not only is he 6’10, long, and lanky, but he can score, rebound, take over and close games. There is a big difference between him and 3-time MVP LeBron James: Durant lives in the gym. There is no denying James’ talent, but I am taking a gym-rat over a gifted-athlete ten times out of ten.

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat: everything you need to know

LeBron James and Paul Pierce

Well, here is the Miami Heat for the second year in a row: the Eastern Conference Finals. All of us know how last year ended for the Heat: a 4-2 NBA Finals loss to Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks. Last year, the Heat beat the Boston Celtics in the second round of the NBA playoffs, 4-1. But it’s a new year and, probably, the last time the Boston’s “Big Three + Rondo” will ever be together. So what are we to expect from these two teams with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line? Let’s take a look.
