Here are two Chicago Bears fans that really need to get a life (photos)

bears-wedding

You can love your NFL football, your Chicago Bears and everything, but this is absurd and pathetic. Talk about having a void in your life. Getting married at a Bears tailgate. I’m sure the McCaskey family, Jay Cutler and the whole Bears corporation care about you as much as you care about them.

Bears-Packers wager made by top NASCAR drivers

matt-kenseth

Typically when NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch discuss the “field” it has to do with 41 other drivers and isn’t named “Lambeau,” but on Thursday, Sept. 13 that all changes. Prior to heading to Chicagoland Speedway to kick off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Kenseth and Busch will make a friendly wager as the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

Kenseth, a native of Cambridge, Wis., is a life-long Green Bay fan who attends four to five Packers games a year. Busch, who hails from Las Vegas, Nev., but has family in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, is a die-hard Bears fan who will head up to Wisconsin to witness one of the National Football League’s most storied rivalries.

Bears Kahlil Bell named to most eligible Chicagoans list

kahlil_bell

Chicago magazine has just released it’s 2012 list of the most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes in the city (25-year-old Sara Collins looks yummy!). Chicago Bears tailback Kahlil Bell is among them. So he’s got that advantage on Matt Forte; if not more playing time.

So what’s he looking for?

Chicago Cubs social media strategy articulated on social media night

cubs-social-media-night

On Wednesday May 16th the Chicago Cubs hosted their inaugural Social Media Night. Fans who purchased tickets were invited to a pregame social media panel at Wrigley Field’s Captain Morgan Club. And by social media, we obviously mean the discussion was Twitter heavy.

The panel consisted of Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould (@RobbieGould09), (more on his night here) Cubs.com writer Carrie Muskat (@CarrieMuskat) and Cubs Public Relations and Marketing Specialist Kevin Saghy (@Cubs).

Each person was given a swag bag that included a Cubs “social media” t-shirt, a copy of Vine Line magazine, a teeny foam finger, a voucher for a hot dog and a multi-card set of Cubs “Social Media Series” baseball cards featuring Cub players that are on Twitter.

Bears Kicker Robbie Gould will take you out to dinner, follow him on Twitter

robbie-gould

Chicago Bears placekicker Robbie Gould is one of the more interesting and articulate athletes out there. When his days draining field goals are over, he has a bright future in broadcasting. Wednesday night, when the Chicago Cubs hosted the Philadelphia Phillies, Gould was part of a three person social media panel.

He cracked jokes, dropped one-liners and made an announcement that if when he gets about 500 more Twitter followers, he’ll take his fans/followers out to dinner with him at Public House. He currently has 45, 508 (@RobbieGould09), when he hits 46,000 he’ll treat for food.

Gould also threw out the first ball and sang the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley Field during the Cubs 9-2 loss.

matt_forte

Get ready for the Matt Forte holdout once Chicago Bears preseason begins at Camp Bourbonaiss. Via Twitter, Forte publicly expressed his disgust and the Bears signed tailback Michael Bush to a four-year contract worth $14 million, including $7 million guaranteed. “There’s only so many times a man that has done everything he’s been asked to do can be disrespected! Guess the GOOD GUYS do finish last….

Tim Tebow’s Pastor: Broncos Winning Streak is “God’s Favor”

jesus-tebow

You knew this was coming. Eventually, someone would dare to be stupid enough to say this. Especially after yesterday, when the Chicago Bears (SPECIFICALLY MARION BARBER) gave away a game to the Denver Broncos and Tim Tebow. The collapse was so unlikely and so one-sided in the final two minutes that you just knew some idiot would claim this game was “God’s will.”

This comment is so bad, I’m sure Tim Tebow himself will back away from these comments.

Bears Promote Mike Tice to Offensive Coordinator

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears didn’t have to spend too much time nor look very far to find Mike Martz’s replacement. The successor is a former Minnesota Vikings head coach who happens to be on their staff as the current OL coach: Mike Tice.

Charles Barkley Asks Chicago Bears to Stop Tim Tebow Hype

jesus-tebow

Sick of the non-stop Tim Tebow talk/coverage? Tired of the Denver Broncos QB who: wins with a very unorthodox style and mentions God/Jesus/The Lord/savior/his spirituality so much that if you were playing a drinking game for those words while watching a Tebow interview you’d die from alcohol poisoning within the first couple minutes?

Well, Charles Barkley sure is. And he wants the Chicago Bears to do something about it this Sunday.

Jay Cutler Directs F-Bomb at Mike Martz? (Video)

jay cutler injury

Although Jay Cutler never has said it publicly, we know he must HATE his offensive coordinator Mike Martz; due to his schemes that consistently leave the quarterback a sitting duck with little pass protection. Martz offenses have commonly led the NFL in sacks allowed, and this Chicago Bears team is no different.

The have an OL that screams “run max protect formations” and “please try more running plays.” However, Martz is stubborn, and does whatever he wants, without regard to personnel. This will get Cutler KILLED.

And in this video Jay seems to be expressing that frustration.
