Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby will have a short leash according to Urban Meyer. And a suspension is likely. Roby, a junior who was an afterthought recruit from the same high school as former Buckeyes DL Cameron Heyward, was arrested in Bloomington, Indiana on July 21st and faces preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury.
He was “asked to leave the bar after a disturbance, refused, and was subdued by bouncers at the bar before being taken into custody.”

The 2013 Ohio State Spring football Game will be played April 13 in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium, officials from the Ohio State Department of Athletics, Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County announced today.
As you well know, people in central Ohio have no life, so this scrimmage, this opportunity to see third-stringers battle one another routinely draws 80-90,000 people; reflecting the dysfunctional dependency that people there have for college football. They’re even willing to pay for this because they have nothing else going on in their lives.

In spite of themselves, the Buckeyes are still undefeated on the young season. Coach Urban Meyer narrowed the problems to “offense, defense and special teams,” expressed his disappointment and said his players have to get dramatically better before opening Big Ten play at No. 21 Michigan State on Saturday.
Despite the lackluster efforts on all three phases, Ohio State still beat UAB 29-15. The offense has been too reliant on Braxton Miller, who came leading the Big Ten in rushing. He ran for two more scores today, but the team itself struggled versus a unit known to give up 44 points per game.

Klein was kicked off the team this offseason due to legal issues.
“As I had indicated previously, if there are any changes in the charges against Storm, I would re-evaluate his status,” Meyer said in a statement released by the school. “The charges that would have violated our core values have been totally dismissed.”

For the second consecutive afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes practiced on the lush green grass fields at the Harmon Family Football Park where the temperatures can be as much as 30 degrees cooler than on the FieldTurf fields. Tuesday, with a mid-practice temp from a smart phone that read 90 degrees “but felt like 88,” was another single practice day, but it was the second for the full squad. The initial practice of the season last Friday consisted of a split squad, with the freshman and rookies practicing in the afternoon after the returning veterans practiced in the morning.

These are highly subject to change. Brady Hoke remarked at Media Day that UM was picked fifth in their division a year ago; and just outside the top 25 in the year they won their last national title- 1997.
So maybe these rankings don’t really mean all that much? Of course, that won’t stop you from reading them and commenting, right?
