Brewers fans rejoice as your team is headed to the playoffs for only the third time in franchise history. Unlike 2008, this is no wild card berth, but rather a division title, their first since moving to the National League in 1997.
It’s been 29 years since the Brewers have won a division title, a feet they accomplished once before in 1982 when they took home the AL East crown.
“For us to win the division I think is a little more meaningful than winning the wild card. It really means a lot. It’s special,” said Ryan Braun who had the three-run home-run on Friday to propel the Brewers past the Marlins 4-1. [Read more…]
