The Beauty of MLB Opening Week

This year, Easter Weekend was all about the resurrection of two things: Jesus and Major League Baseball’s regular season. Much like the Catholic church, the 40 days and 40 nights of Lenten preparation give way to the holiest of days on the religious calendar. Meantime, 30 days and 30 nights of Cactus or Grapefruit League Spring Training give way to Opening Week, punctuated by an Easter Sunday New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox matchup.
