By Paul M. Banks Today’s NBA is treating us to the “Golden Age of Point Guards,” and last June brought us the “Point Guard Draft.” A special head-to-head rivalry at this position may be blossoming in the Central Division. Last year’s Rookie of the Year, the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose, went head-to-head last night with the Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Jennings, the very early … [Read more...] about Derrick Rose vs. Brandon Jennings: Rivalry in the Making?

NBA Draft Grades
By: David Kay Embarrased… Ashamed… Disappointed… I apologize for my poor showing with my final NBA mock draft. After tying ESPN’s Chad Ford last year (we each picked 9 first round choices correctly), Ford OWNED me this year getting 13 right compared to my pathetic showing of six. But like Teddy KGB in Rounders, I can admit when I have been defeated. “He beat me. Straight … [Read more...] about NBA Draft Grades
Bucks Bet on Jennings and Meeks
By Thomas Lea Brandon Jennings took a chance when he bypassed a scholarship to the University of Arizona and the spotlight of Pac-10 basketball over a year ago in favor of playing professionally in Italy. So, I guess it makes sense that the former top rated high school product from Oak Hill Academy wound up with a team taking a chance on him during Thursday’s annual NBA … [Read more...] about Bucks Bet on Jennings and Meeks

The deadline has also passed for college underclassmen to announce if they are declaring for the draft or returning to school. Those underclassmen that have yet to hire an … [Read more...] about 2009 NBA Mock Draft
2009 NBA Mock Draft
By: David K. This is my first mock draft that has taken team needs into account. Now that the NBA regular season is done, the preliminary order is set until the draft lottery takes place on May 19th. Remember, I got as many picks correct last year as ESPN’s “expert” Chad Ford and watched 274 college basketball games this season, so I feel pretty good about my … [Read more...] about 2009 NBA Mock Draft
2009 NBA Mock Draft
By: David K. This begins an interesting few weeks. Now is when we begin to see which underclassmen will be entering the NBA Draft and which will be returning to school. As the decisions are made, it changes the entire layout of the draft. These are my projections as to which underclassmen are likely to declare (below you will see a list of who I think will/should stay in … [Read more...] about 2009 NBA Mock Draft
