New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers: franchise twins

aaron rodgersbrady

In 1997, the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots came together for a Super Bowl in New Orleans. In 2007, the Pack finished a couple plays short of joining the NE Pats in the NFL title game once again. This season, a Packers-Patriots finale could very well happen; and it’s becoming a trendy pick to actually forecast this scenario.

erin-andrews

It appears ESPN sideline princess Erin Andrews, the ultra-famous reporter rumored to be dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, will renew her contract at ESPN.

According to the USA Today

TV sports has no free agency periods or trade deadlines, so on-air roster moves can hit anytime. The latest:

Evaluating the NFC North Starting QB Girlfriends/Wives

stafford_girlfriend_implants

The rumor mill spins out of control with alleged Jay Cutler-Kristin Cavallari, and Aaron Rodgers-Erin Andrews trysts, so we realized something about NFC North QBs— they can really pull some tail. And we haven’t yet mentioned the hundreds of times Brett Favre allegedly cheated on his wife, (We’ll skip discussing the whole alleged Jenn Sterger SEXTING incident) or Matthew Stafford‘s gorgeous former University of Georgia cheerleader who made sports blog “news” (do they make air quotes strong enough for me to convey my condescension for referring to that as “news”?) when she recently got implants.

So, to quote the Black-Eyed Peas, “let’s get retarded in here,” and discuss the most mindless topic of all: celebrity gossip. What follows isn’t a ranking or rating of any kind, but a list. I’ll let you decide for yourself which NFC North QB, the leader of the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, or Detroit Lions, landed the best arm-candy.

By the way, if you want to read about actual football, read our ranking of the QBs themselves here. In that column, we don’t use the word “alleged” 3,000 times in the opening paragraph.

Ranking the NFC North Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford is banging on the door, but the conversation about the top quarterback in the NFC North begins and ends with two names: Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre.

There may be some Jay Cutler apologists out there muttering that last season was an aberration and that he is ready to prove himself once again this fall. I beg to differ because his utter refusal to be accountable for his performance does not bode well for future success in Chicago, the country’s second biggest market.

What follows is a list of key factors in the decision-making process for the top spot in the division for the sport’s most important position.

Erin Andrews hooking up with Aaron Rodgers???

erin_andrews

Remember when we learned about homophones in grade school? Words pronounced the same, but different in meaning. And homophones that are spelled differently (like Erin and Aaron) are also called heterographs. So you see where I’m going with this!

I also brought up middle school because I feel like I’m back in it because I’m devoting a whole post to a romantic rumor. But this is no ordinary rumor, this one involves Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, and Queen of all Sideline Princesses Erin Andrews, the second most blogged about (Evan Turner is #1) individual in TSB history.
