The Sports Bank will be counting down to the opening tip of the 2012-13 NBA season with team by team previews starting with the worst and working our way to the title contenders.  There is no lockout this time around so let’s get going.

The Philadelphia 76ers made a major splash in the off-season by trading Andre Iguodala for Andrew Bynum in a four-team deal.  The Sixers are hoping Bynum is able to stay healthy and help put them in contention for the Eastern Conference title.

Despite playoff run, Philadelphia 76ers have off-season questions

As the eight seed in the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers nearly pulled off consecutive upsets to advance to the league finals.  Despite that post-season run, the Sixers enter the off-season with several off-season questions as they hope to build towards next year.

’09-’10 Season in Review:
Just two years ago, the 76ers were considered a sexy pick for winning the Eastern Conference.  Now the only thing sexy about the Sixers is uhhh… ummm… anyway… Philly finished with their worst record in 13 seasons and were so desperate for attention, they made a last ditch effort to bring back Allen Iverson who was clearly well past his prime and still wanting to play the game for his own personal satisfaction of proving that he still had the ability to be a star in the league.  Fail on both parts, as A.I. played in just 25 games choosing not to return to the team in late February to reportedly go home and take care of his sick daughter.
