QB Tyler Bray is leaving Tennessee to put his name into April’s NFL Draft, a source tells CBS. Bray has a reputation as a bit of head case. You might even classify him as (with apologies to “Bull Durham”) a million dollar arm, ten cent head. Or perhaps this draft’s version of Ryan Mallett, Ryan Leaf, Jimmy Claussen etc.

So now that Bray’s Vols career is over, where will he end up?

Ohio State’s Johnathan Hankins leaving school early for NFL Draft


Ohio State all-Big Ten Conference defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins announced today he will forego his senior season of eligibility with the Buckeyes and make himself available for the 2013 NFL Draft and an opportunity to continue his career at the next level.

“I have decided, with the support of my family, to forego my senior season at Ohio State in order to enter the NFL Draft,” Hankins said Monday. “I will always be grateful for the family I have gained here at Ohio State.

Purdue’s Kawann Short looks like top 15 pick in 2013 NFL Draft


Just a week until the 2012 NFL Draft, and we’re working hard updating our mock drafts and positional rankings. But we go even further as we look ahead to the 2013 draft. Next April when teams go looking for an interior pass-rushing presence, they’ll find it in Kawann Short from Purdue.

He’ll likely be a top 15-20 pick next year, after Short will likely be a dominant force for the Boilermakers in the Big Ten. He notched 6.5 sacks in 2011 – a really good number for a 310-pound lineman, and should get even more this year. And he could find himself as coveted a pro prospect as former teammate Ryan Kerrigan was last year.
