Packers may shut down Aaron Rodgers for the season

The Green Bay Packers have not been even a shell of what they once were since QB Aaron Rodgers injured his collarbone. Ever since the Chicago Bears defense knocked Aaron Rodgers out in the Bears Monday Night win at Green Bay, things have been disastrous for the Green & Gold. The Packers are now on their fourth quarterback, and all of the non Aaron Rodgers variety of QBs have not been good.

And if the losing continues, Aaron Rodgers could be shut down for the season.

Multiple reports say that Rodgers would “be lucky” to return for the Dec. 8 game vs. the Falcons, but if he doesn’t and Green Bay loses, the quarterback might be shut down for the season.

The Thanksgiving disaster versus the Detroit Lions could not have gone any worse, and that game was huge for determining the NFC North division race. Most NFL teams would be a shell of themselves without their QB1, but how many would suffer this much? Aaron Rodgers, and his absence is Exhibit A for all those painful NFC cliches such as “it’s a passing league,” “it’s a quarterback driven league,” “it all starts with the quarterback,” etc etc etc.
