Derrick Rose will miss significant time due to injury- yet again. It’s really unfathomable at this point. What are the odds? How can lightning strike the same guy three times like this?
Bulls say Derrick Rose reported today with right knee pain and MRI confirmed a medial meniscus tear of the right knee. Surgery needed.

Yep, Derrick Rose will undergo surgery and that means he’ll likely miss the rest of the season and the playoffs. The right media meniscus injury is the exact same injury that Rose suffered in November of 2013. The 2008 #1 overall pick had been averaging 18.4 points and 5 assists per game while leading the Bulls to a 36-21 record through 57 games.
Chicago currently sits in fourth place in the East.
The good news is Aaron Brooks can play. He looked decent Saturday night versus Phoenix. Granted, Phoenix is 28th in the NBA in scoring defense. Brooks is solid though. With Derrick Rose now out, he needs to be. E’Twaun Moore as well- it’s time to show us what you have. Credit to John Paxson and Gar Forman for signing those guys in the offseason.
