When the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Chicago Bulls tomorrow night at 7 p.m, Hall of Famer Charles Barkley will be a game analyst with play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Craig Sager. Yes, that’s right, Charles Barkley will call the very next Bulls game.
Zaniness could ensue.
Just in case you needed another reason to watch the national broadcast instead of the local, here it is. I always avoid the local broadcast, and opt for the national whenever possible, for all Chicago teams. Barkley is of course globally known for speaking his mind, and during the media conference call previewing the NBA Playoffs in April he described Chicago as “the best summer city in the world.”
I couldn’t agree more. My hometown is not the best city in the world, not at all, but it is the best summer city in the world, hands down. Amazingly, this early November day feels like summer, and tomorrow will too in Chicago. Then of course reality will set in after that. But for Thursday night, God bless El Nino for creating the weather, and God Bless TNT for letting us have Barkley calling this game.
For more of the best with Chuckles, I suggest you click on this link to hear Charles Barkley discuss his much publicized relationship with Michael Jordan (he gave some very candid answers, audio here)
The clip is at the end of a very long, but very good conference call and Sir Charles is asked about the people out there who ripped his college hoops analyst work during March Madness. Charles Barkley drops a few f-bombs.
