The 2016 Ohio State football season is now over, with a resounding 44-28 victory over Notre Dame in the 45th annual Fiesta bowl. We now turn our attention to the futures of some of the Buckeyes star players. What will Joey Bosa and Cardale Jones be up to next year? Here’s more on Ezekiel Elliott today, and his future plans.

I asked Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer if any of his players have informed him that today will be their final game at Ohio State. Meyer mentioned three.

Q. Coach, has Zeke or any of your other players officially said this will be their last game?
COACH MEYER: Zeke, Joey and Cardale.

Joey Bosa was ejected early in this one for targeting, but later Tweeted out his love for Buckeye Nation, along with an apology. He could be the first overall pick come April. Mel Kiper actually has him #1 overall on his big board.

As for Cardale Jones, maybe he really should have declared last season? I know that might have seemed ridiculous to some at the time, but think of it, how could your draft stock get any higher than it was for Jones after he won the national title?

Well, Cardale is an interesting case and we have the combine, Pro Days, private workouts etc. to figure it out all. He’s a very interesting, intelligent guy with a captivating personality, so it will be a fun ride. As for Bosa, he’s a slam dunk to get paid big time.
