Not high on the Michigan Wolverines? Can’t say I blame you- I’m not picking them to win the division, even with Ohio State down for the count now as Braxton Miller is out for the season.
Here’s ESPN’s Jesse Palmer and David Pollack discussing how Michigan football finds their identity. I joined them on media conference call yesterday to get an overall outlook on where the season could be headed.
Pollack is right, it’s hard to think of what the Michigan Wolverines actually do well. What is that one thing? Devin Gardner can make a lot of huge plays at times. However, he just keeps turning it over. We know how bad the offensive line is. We know how unsettled the running back situation is. Devin Funchess is pretty good. Now as he moves to wide receiver it will be interesting to see how he develops, especially under new coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

Overall, this year just feels like 7-5. Maybe 6-6. I just can’t project and 8-4 or better out of this Michigan Wolverines bunch.
