Kyle Long, Jordan Mills offer hope and stability for Bears

By

The Chicago Bears should start Kyle Long and Jordan Mills for their third preseason game on August 23. Their play against the San Diego Chargers more than warrants that thought, and praise from one Jay Cutler should all but guarantee a second start. If the hot and cold Cutler can feel safe behind any offensive linemen and admit it publicly, then the Bears’ coaching staff has … [Read more...] about Kyle Long, Jordan Mills offer hope and stability for Bears

Jay Cutler displays acting chops in FX promo video

By

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler will be on a tv show about fantasy football when the quarterback guest stars in an upcoming episode this September. Jay Cutler flew to Los Angeles earlier this month to tape an episode of “The League,” a sitcom set in Chicago and the posh upscale suburb of Winnetka. Coincidentally, it's the same town where Jay Cutler and wife Kristin Cavallari are … [Read more...] about Jay Cutler displays acting chops in FX promo video

2013 Chicago Bears season preview RB/LB

By

With the regime change from Lovie Smith to Marc Trestman, it is believed that the Chicago Bears will go from being a rush first to passing foremost offense. Smith, a coach with a career record of 81-63, was fired on New Year's Eve, following a 10-win season in which the Bears choked away their playoff chances. A 7-1 start went for nothing. However, you won't be hearing the dry … [Read more...] about 2013 Chicago Bears season preview RB/LB

Alshon Jeffery: The Chicago Bears X-Factor

Jeffery also arrived to camp in great shape after … [Read more...] about Alshon Jeffery: The Chicago Bears X-Factor

Chicago Bears season inspire desperate, pathetic real estate agent

Especially when it comes from a list we never signed up for in the first place. I received an email with "CHICAGO FOOTBALL IS BACK" in my inbox. It was in ALL CAPS to denote that … [Read more...] about Chicago Bears season inspire desperate, pathetic real estate agent

2013 Chicago Bears season preview: OL, DL

By

Say this for the Chicago Bears linemen- they will break an unofficial NFL record for players with dinosaur nicknames. They have two. DE Corey Wootton is the Coreysaurus and Tight End Martellus Bennett is the Martysaurus Rex. So they got that going for them; which is nice. But that depends on what you classify TEs: lineman or receivers. To space and balance things out, I'm … [Read more...] about 2013 Chicago Bears season preview: OL, DL

What will the Chicago Bears get from Sherrick McManis?

By

Is it time for Chicago Bears DB Sherick McManis to step up? Is this is his chance? Nickelback Kelvin Hayden has been ruled out for the season with a torn hamstring, the team announced Wednesday. The "next man in" or "next man up" (I know that's meaningless CLICHE buzzword coaches use in place of just saying "depth chart") is second-year cornerback Isaiah Frey. That makes … [Read more...] about What will the Chicago Bears get from Sherrick McManis?

Can the Chicago Bears afford the luxury of Devin Hester in 2013, not 1993?

By

By Jeremy Harris Does Devin Hester, sans the wide receiver's gloves, suddenly offer too little potential production to survive in today's NFL given his hefty salary cap figure? With the advent of the hard salary cap in 1994, teams have been tasked with finding as many versatile players as possible. While the salary cap era spawned a significant increase in dual punt and … [Read more...] about Can the Chicago Bears afford the luxury of Devin Hester in 2013, not 1993?
