Ohio State football dominated the 2016 NFL Draft in an SEC like manner. All those early entries into the draft made the Buckeyes a lot like an Alabama or an LSU. Of course, a high number of early entries means that this year’s draft class will see a drop-off. Yes, that’s true but we’ll still probably see some Buckeye representation in the first round.

It comes in the form of two 2015 Second-Team All-Americans Sr. OG Pat Elflein – Associated Press, SI.com and Jr. LB Raekwon McMillan – Walter Camp

Ahead of the final Ohio State football game of the season last year, a thumping of Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, McMillan articulated the art of rushing the quarterback.

“I feel like we can get pressure on any quarterback in the nation. Once you hit him a couple times, then it’s a mind game with them. You might not even be pressuring him or touching him, but if he sees you flashing across his face, that’s getting in his comfort zone.

“He’s a quarterback at the end of the day and they don’t want to be touched. We see a lot of things that we can do.”

McMillan’s Defensive Coordinator Luke Fickell on what makes him such as astounding athlete.

“Raekwon, he’d like to tell you he was a heck of a tailback. Until I saw him play live, I wouldn’t say he was a heck of a tailback. Guys that can carry the football become difference-makers. That’s something unique.”

McMillan was also one of three Ohio State football players brought to Chicago for Big Ten Media Days; Eiflein joined him.
