Aaron Hernandez arrested, released by Patriots

To quote Snoop Dogg, “murder was the case that they gave” New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

We don’t know the specific charge yet. However, he was officially arrested, taken away to be arraigned, and the New England Patriots have released him.

Last week Hernandez was investigated in a North Attleborough, Massachusetts murder mystery. Although Aaron Hernandez was not initially regarded as a suspect in the case, his home was searched, a vehicle implicated in the murder was rented to Hernandez, and the body was found about a mile from his house. He also was not cooperative with the authorities at the outset.

So we don’t know the charges, but he is implicated in a homicide.

I think the ESPN reporter doing the Aaron Hernandez story is a Daily Illini alum, from my era even. Michelle Steele

Aaron Hernandez was entering his fourth season in the NFL after leading the New England Patriots to a 2011 AFC Championship and making the NFL’s All-Star game that year.  The Bristol, Conn., native (also home to ESPN) grew up a Patriots fan and disgraced his beloved franchise by being arrested for a charge that will be released once the state of Massachusetts brings them forward in court. You knew from the beginning that this situation would not end well for him.

Aaron Hernandez had an endorsement deal with CytoSport, the maker of Muscle Milk. That corporate sponsor dismissed him this past weekend. As much as fellow Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski has been scrutinized for perceived character issues, Gronk appears to be the more wholesome Patriots Tight End.
