Chelsea superstars Eden Hazard and Diego Costa didn’t start in today’s 4-2 FA Cup semifinal triumph over Tottenham Hotspur, but instead came on in the 61′.

Hazard fired home the game-winning goal in the 75′ with Blues boss Antonio Conte admitting in the postgame that the master plan was to indeed bring Hazard off the bench and hopefully provide a spark.

Chelsea FC Considered FA Cup Favorites Entering Semi-Finals

Although Chelsea FC are coming off their worst effort of the season last weekend, they remain the favorites to claim the FA Cup. The Blues got out-manned and out-planned but their former Manager Jose Mourinho and Manchester United on Easter Sunday, in match that was an aberration from the fine form the Blues have displayed this season.

It’s been reported that a virus could have have afflicted a few Chelsea FC players, and thus held the back from giving their best against the Red Devils.

Romelu Lukaku Reportedly Wants to Return to Chelsea this Summer

Last summer, Everton scoring sensation Romelu Lukaku had been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, but it didn’t happen.

The Belgium and Toffees striker didn’t end up returning to his former club, but according to The Telegraph Lukaku would like to see that move realized now. The Premier League’s leading scorer, who has two years left on his current Everton deal, has developed into quite a star at Goodison Park, but he never scored, not even once, during his three years at Stamford Bridge.

Naturally, the current first and second place teams dominate the PFA Team of the Year list as well. The list of accomplishments by John Terry and the Blues during his Chelsea tenure is long and illustrious. However, that doesn’t exactly mean he’s someone to be celebrated exactly. His accomplishments on the pitch will always be overshadowed by the proverbial black eyes off of it.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has 17 goals on the Premier League season. The Manchester United starting XI that he faced off against had 12, in total! Yet it’s United who absolutely dominated today, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the bench, in a resounding 2-0 victory at Old Trafford.

This was probably the worst performance that we’ve seen from Chelsea since Antonio Conte made the switch to a 3-4-3. For United they are now undefeated in 22 straight Premier League contests.

Antonio Conte Plays Down Any Issues with Jose Mourinho Ahead of Weekend Match

Chelsea absolutely thrashed Manchester United 4-0 in October, and after the game, we saw a bit of a potential tiff between managers.

United Manager Jose Mourinho was captured by TV cameras, which also picked up the sound to a minor degree, speaking in his counterpart, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s ear in Italian. The sound, lip-readers, reports in both Italy and England, say that Mourinho took issue with what he saw as over-celebration from the Chelsea leader.
