Jose Mourinho Starts Mind Games with Chelsea Ahead of FA Cup Clash


The FA Cup quarterfinal draws were made public today with Manchester United versus Chelsea FC the headliner fixture. Funny how all these draws always yield the easiest match-ups for creating the perfect narratives, isn’t it?

This dual is obviously the Jose Mourinho Cup as the Portugese leads his current club against the one that sacked him in December of 2015. Mourinho is known for being a master tactician, and for sometimes playing elaborate mind games with his opponents. Whenever polls are taken of this sort regarding managers and their personalities, you’ll usually see Mourinho’s name near the top of the list.

FA Cup 6th Round Draws: Manchester United vs Chelsea FC the Headliner

Manchester United, the current holders of the FA Cup, advanced past Blackburn Rovers 2-1 today on the strength of goals from Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The fifth round triumph sets them up to take on Chelsea FC, the current leaders of the Premier League, in what will be the marquee fixture in the round of eight.

The FA Cup draws have been held, and made public, with still two more slots to be determined in the quarter-finals. The field of 10 will be whittled down to eight.

David Luiz Knocks Over a Chelsea TV Presenter in Training (Video)


Chelsea FC stole the thunder on transfer deadline day by bringing popular defender David Luiz back to London with an 11th hour signing. David Luiz “won that internet” that day due to the move that no one saw coming.

Now he wins the internet again with this take down of Chelsea TV presenter Lee Parker. While Parker was in the midst of his stand-up previewing the Blues next match, Luiz comes flying out of nowhere to hilariously take him down, WWE style.

Tottenham and Chelsea FC Taking Different Approaches to Stadium Naming Rights Deals

Two of the big London clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea FC, are looking to sell their stadium naming rights, but going about in completely different ways. Chelsea are hoping to retain the name Stamford Bridge if and when they “sell out” the title of their venue to a corporate sponsor.

Cesc Fabregas Potentially Leaving Chelsea for Shangdong Luneng Labeled Fake News by Club


Cesc Fabregas didn’t want to move on this summer transfer window. Instead he wanted to stay at Chelsea FC to work hard, improve and hopefully find his place in the system of then new head coach Antonio Conte. While he isn’t making the regular first team under Conte, he is being hailed by his manager as “a football genius” and “top player,” so that’s something.

Back in May, we received word that Chelsea were looking to offload Cesc Fabregas. This notification came via email from a people claiming to be a member of the Chelsea board, but lacking any sort of verifiable status that he in fact held the position he claimed.

Chelsea FC-Burnley Draw Creates New Hero, Internet Sensation (Video)


Chelsea FC came to the Turf Moor and battled Burnley to a 1-1 draw yesterday, but there was one winner- this guy.

A Burnley supporter sitting behind with the goal with his infant child, was a hero among men. This was an extremely dangerous place to bring a toddler, but this gentleman handled the situation with grace and aplomb. He did what he had to do. Have a watch below:

Cesc Fabregas Hailed as Top Player and Football Genius By Antonio Conte


Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has been in and out of the Chelsea starting XI this season, having essentially been displaced by N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic. His lack of regular first team football has led to numerous transfer rumors. The Spaniard has been linked to loan moves and even summer sales to numerous clubs, including West Ham United and Manchester City.

During an interview with Chelsea’s in house TV channel earlier this week Fabregas said “it’s more difficult for the more talented players to succeed” in today’s football landscape, and that’s because “every day you see less talent and more power and players running around.”

Predicted Chelsea FC Starting XI vs Burnley


After a brilliant performance against Arsenal, Chelsea will be looking to keep their title-winning form up against Burnley. Although it is much weaker competitions, it will still be another chance for Chelsea to show the rest of the league how and why they got to the top of the table.

With a near fully fit squad, Antonio Conte will have plenty of options when it comes to selecting the team. This means certain players that have been performing well in previous weeks might have to settle for the bench in this match.

Willian Says Jose Mourinho Tried Recruiting Him to Manchester United


This summer will bring a ton of Manchester United transfer rumors talk. It even started to trend today, yes on February 10th, as Manager Jose Mourinho said in his prematch press conference ahead of Watford that he’ll be buying anywhere from two to four players.

This followed up Thursday’s news, when Executive Vice President Ed Woodward said there will be summer spending in 2017. One guy United tried to purchase, but couldn’t get a deal for, is Willian.

Massimiliano Allegri Linked to Arsenal a Year After Chelsea Rumors


Juventus Manager Massimiliano Allegri would neither confirm nor deny the rumors claiming he could be the next boss at Arsenal. It remains to be seen who will replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, and even when that might happen. Wenger is currently in the final year of his contract, the 20th season that the Frenchman has been with the club.

There has been a consistently strong backlash against Wenger from supporters, and if he is indeed out, Massimiliano Allegri, speculation holds, could replace him. Rumors have been flying and today the Italian was asked directly about them.

Chelsea FC have such a comfortable lead right now atop the Premier League table, that it’s very hard to imagine anybody catching them. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte gave a riveting interview to Sky Sports Italia in which he sounded like an action movie hero on numerous occasions. The Italian went into detail discussing his leadership style and motivational tactics, and many of the sound bites read like they were uttered by Bruce Willis or Liam Neeson in an adventure film.
