So far, it’s been dominant as Chelsea routed West Bromwich Albion 4-0 yesterday, to give the Blues back to back clean sheets for the first time this season (the first result was the 1-0 winner over Manchester United on November 5.

David Luiz Back in Chelsea Team After Antonio Conte Froze Him Out

Chelsea football club defender David Luiz is now back in contention for a first team place after having been frozen out by manager Antonio Conte in the club’s last outing. Conte has called the Brazilian a “very important” player this season, yet Luiz still found himself dropped, not even given a seat on the bench and pretty much reduced to being a ball boy during the Blues’ biggest game of the season, a 1-0 home win over Manchester United two weeks ago.

Andreas Christensen filled in for the player brought back to Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain on summer transfer window deadline day 2016, and Conte hailed the replacement’s performance as amazing.

Roman Abramovich Excessive Manager Sackings Defended by Didier Drogba

dasha zhukova

It’s just a fact of life that in modern football, managers have very little job security. Quite often, the boss only has a small margin for error, and nowhere is this more evident than at the Chelsea Football Club of Roman Abramovich. The Russian oligarch and world’s 139th wealthiest man has a very itchy trigger finger for firing those who manage his club.

Abramovich has appointed nine managers in the past 10 years, and there’s been plenty of speculation about the long term future of current manager Antonio Conte.

Chelsea Star Tiemoue Bakayoko Says He’s on the Same Level as N’Golo Kante

Chelsea FC midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko was brought over from Monaco this summer in a transfer deal that certainly had a lot of interesting plot twists and turns. Bakayoko himself acted in a very bizarre fashion on social media about it, but hey, we all did questionable things in our youth, right?

The Frenchman has since settled in quite nicely at Chelsea, featuring in every Premier League contest but one, and starting eight.

Tottenham Hotspur May Pose Biggest Threat to Manchester City Title Hopes

Tottenham Hotspur were the last team standing between the last two Premier League champions and their eventual glory. They might be again. If not Spurs, it could be Manchester United or the defending champs, Chelsea, who give table topping Manchester City the best challenge for the title, all of them are long shots at this point.

That’s because Man City are running way with it right now, off to the greatest start in Premier League history, and holding an 8 point lead over United and Tottenham. They have 31 points to match their +31 goal differential in the first 11 matches.

Some are saying they could wrap this up, at least in a practical sense, by the time the festive period is upon us.

Alvaro Morata Reaffirms How Happy He is at Chelsea FC

alvaro morata

Spanish striker Alvaro Morata moved from Real Madrid to Chelsea in the summer, breaking the transfer fee record for the west London club. His move to Stamford Bridge was extremely publicized and much ballyhooed. There was of course the added layer of Morata being ever so close to joining Manchester United instead.

Old Trafford eventually opted for Romelu Lukaku, a Chelsea target, over Alvaro Morata and thus a club rivalry took on another dimension, and a narrative of comparing center forwards was born.
