Video: Sportscaster suspended for anti-Danica Patrick remarks

“What she does and what she says, two completely different things,” “always has a chip on her shoulder that one,” those are the words of San Diego sportscaster Ross Shimabuku, who was suspended for a week without pay for remarks made about Danica Patrick before her Sprint Cup Series debut in the Daytona 500.

But that’s not what landed Shimabuku in hot water. After playing a clip in which Patrick talks about the adjectives she’s been described with throughout her racing (and advertising) career, found out after the jump what the sportscaster said…

Shimabuku subsequently apologized for the remarks on Tuesday.
