Thus far Sochi, at least the hospitality industry surrounding the Winter Olympics in Sochi, looks not ready for prime time. Actually, it seems third world. Russia and Kazahkstan were once part of the same nation, together in the USSR. It seems that the village which produced Borat Sagdyiev, the famous television journalist, bares a striking resemblance to real life Sochi.

“In my country, they take the homosexual to jail…..” the fictional character played Sasha Baron Cohen proclaimed.

“I get clock radio! My neighbor cannot afford” –Borat
Well, we have hotels that don’t have lobbies! And floors! I don’t know how that’s possible, a hotel without a floor? Or a lobby? There’s also toilets that can’t handle toilet paper, a rumored rabies epidemic, water that is dangerous to your face and is a worse color than the water in Borat’s town, unfinished construction, buildings that are just frames they’re so unfinished, the private contractor hired by the government to kill innocent stray dogs, the reacharound toilets, the 7th class on an economy cruise accommodations and…..Sochi is just disgusting. It’s not funny.
Yagshemash Vladimir Putin!
