Danica Patrick is ready to run her #7 Go Daddy Chevrolet Impala in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 (74 laps / 200.46 miles) this Saturday at
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Coverage begins at 2 EST on ESPN.
Here’s what Patrick had to say:
“Every weekend is its own weekend. Things can change and you are presented with different obstacles every time you show up at the track. We put last week behind us and this is a brand new week for our Go Daddy team. “It’s been great working with Ron (Fellows) as a teammate. He has been nice to me from the start.
I have a lot of respect for him, and I feel like I get the same in return. He is very generous with information when I ask him questions. It’s always nice to have somebody on the team with such a great amount of experience. When I feel something on the track, I’m not always sure of it, especially at this point in time running road courses in these cars. It’s good to be able to have Ron’s terminology and ex-perience to lean on with that.”
In last season’s event at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Patrick drove the GoDaddy.com Chevrolet to 13th prior to the halfway mark. The team was forced to pit for brakes issues shortly after, but rebounded to 14th before a broken axle in the final laps relegated Patrick to a 24th-place finish.
