The pictures for this Big Ten power rankings honor history. Yes I witnessed history today for the Big Ten, and not in a good way. Purdue gave up the most points in the history of Ross-Ade Stadium (opened its doors 1924) and the 31 point differential in their 55-24 loss to Northern Illinois is tied for the worst ever loss for a Big Ten team against a MAC school. (Toledo-Minnesota in 2001)
Also NIU became the first MAC team to ever beat two Big Ten schools in the same season. Congrats Boilers! You’ve earned the #12 slot!
Last week, my usage of guest tweeters for the Big Ten power rankings was quite popular, so we’ll do one for every single team team this week. And note: the JIM PHILLIPS ACCOUNT IS A PARODY, NOT REAL. Likewise for Vodka Samm (Samantha Goudie)
1. Ohio State Buckeyes 5-0, (1-0)
It’s not a shocker that Braxton Miller can have success against the #Badgers secondary. Shocker has been Joel Stave against OSU secondary.

2. Northwestern Wildcats 4-0
“@TheGoodDrJim: Chicago’s ACC team looking very sharp. Go @NDFootball!” Funny.

I do. “@GoU_NU: Does anyone know when Gameday announces next week’s location?” — Jim Phillips (@TheGoodDrJim) September 28, 2013
3. Wisconsin Badgers 3-2 (1-1)
I’ve never seen an offense so dependent on one wide receiver, it’s quite fascinating #Badgers — Nick Grays (@NickGrays_TSB) September 29, 2013
4. Michigan State Spartans 3-1
Dantonio doesn’t seem to have a good feel for this team. Too much tinkering and odd decisions. Has happened to Izzo too. Hope the bye helps. — Larry Von Kurtze (@LarryVonKurtze) September 21, 2013
4. Michigan Wolverines 4-0
Michigan is undefeated because sometimes words don’t mean anything at all. — sir broosk (@celebrityhottub) September 22, 2013
6. Nebraska Cornhuskers 3-1

7. Illinois Fighting Illini 3-1
Tim Beckman and Bill Cubit sort of remind me of Elders Cunningham and Price from The Book of Mormon.

If you’ve seen the play, you know which guy seems like Arnold Cunningham, and which guy seems like Kevin Price

8 Iowa Hawkeyes 4-1, (1-0)
Um hii bitches

9. Penn St. Nittany Lions 3-1

10. Minnesota Golden Gophers 4-1, (0-1)
I honestly don’t follow anyone who’s really passionate either way about Minnesota, sorry. Plus, almost the whole league was on bye, including the Gophs.
11. Indiana Hoosiers 2-2
While watching Purdue losing to Northern Illinois on ESPN2, realized I have: Female play-by-play announcer = game no one cares about. #iufb — Hoosier Yoda (@HoosierYoda) September 28, 2013
12. Purdue Boilermakers 1-4 (0-1)
Darrell Hazell wouldn’t say if #Purdue quarterback change is permanent. “We had to do it.” — Chris Emma (@CEmmaFOX) September 28, 2013
Well, Etling’s honeymoon didn’t even last long enough to get to the hotel room, let alone get the pants off..
