Erin Andrews hooking up with Aaron Rodgers???

Remember when we learned about homophones in grade school? Words pronounced the same, but different in meaning. And homophones that are spelled differently (like Erin and Aaron) are also called heterographs. So you see where I’m going with this!

I also brought up middle school because I feel like I’m back in it because I’m devoting a whole post to a romantic rumor. But this is no ordinary rumor, this one involves Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, and Queen of all Sideline Princesses Erin Andrews, the second most blogged about (Evan Turner is #1) individual in TSB history.

By Paul M. Banks

I found this rumor on Deadspin:

Because the latest EA romance gossip circulating around the Bristol cafeteria right now involves not Maks, but Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The two were spotted by other ESPN people last week drinking (closely) at the bar underneath Boston’s Liberty hotel. “Well, he’s not the first athlete,” said one bold ESPN TV guy who’s sick of the Erin Andrews Machine. “She always wanted to just be a star.”

Interesting. We all got tired of hearing about her probable but never confirmed connection to DWTS partner Maks Cz…I’m too lazy right now to look up the proper spelling, but you know the guy I’m talking about.

In terms of “not the first athlete,” we have heard a lot about Wisconsin Badgers Head Coach Bret Bielema, and some obscure hockey player as potential EA joysticks.

Reading A.J. Daulerio’s article makes me fell better about two of my preconceived, but in no way validated notions I hold about the world. 1.) that ESPN is grooming Jenn Brown to truly be EA’s successor (more on that tomorrow, it’ll be Friday’s trash column, obviously you’re reading Thursday’s right now) and 2.) Andrews is all about making it, and only about hooking up with dudes that can help her get ahead.

Glad to see an authority like Daulerio also sees it the way I do.

  1. Melissa W. says

Oh! Love the EA drama! Want more of it. Especially when it involved Midwestern sports men. Wonder why she appears to be more into the Wisconsin dudes. Probably just a coincidence—or maybe it’s because this would the be the last state most chicks would target for a man. EA wants to be different?

  2. paulmbanks says

hahhahaha just like wisconsin is the also the last state guys would target for fiding a chick. And she wants to make sure her competition is as minimal as possible. America’s Dairyland is perfect for that!

but in reality it’s probably just because she’s assigned to this region all the time

  3. jmccormick says

Ooo I don’t know about Wisconsin being the last state you’d look for a girl or a guy…I’d say we’re right in the middle.

On a more related note, I found a few of their Tweets back and forth kind of interesting a month or so ago. It all makes a little more sense now…

  4. Real Reporter says

The true story no one wants to report is Rodgers is gay and shares a home with his boyfriend in Green Bay…

  5. johnnyappleseed says

    definitely agree with real reporter

  6. Favre4Ever says

Real Reporter is correct. Aaron Rodgers lives with his male “roommate” in his home in Green Bay. Nobody in the liberal news media wants to find out the truth about his sexual preference. He hasn’t been seen with a woman besides his mother and sister in years. How many NFL quarterbacks making $12 million a year live with their male roommate???

  7. paulmbanks says

do you guys have any links or sources on this? And what about Jessica Szohr? He’s been seen in public with her plenty of times….

  8. paulmbanks says

And seriously what the FUCK does your perception of the supposed political slant of the news industry have anything to do with a man’s sexual orientation? how is this a political issue?

if anything, it would confirm a right-leaning bias in the media, since the NFL is a bastion for the politics of the far right, and the GOP is the party of demonizing gays, so they would love to cover up a NFL QB’s homosexuality

  9. Favre4Ever says

The Libtards don’t want to KNOW the the truth about a gay QB. The liberal news media will keep this story buried. The NFL would rather keep it quiet too. The last thing they need is a Super Bowl QB coming out of the closet. I know you Libtards wouldn’t mind a gay QB, but I like my quarterbacks to be bad boys who like girls! e.g. Namath, Favre, Romo, and Roethlisberger. An NFL quarterback who makes $12 million a year and lives with his male “roommate” is just plain weird!

  10. paulmbanks says

Uhm, yeah. trying to find logic in there gives me an ice cream head ache.

and I don’t care what “my QBs” do, because they’re not “my QBs” or yours. they’re adults who are free to do whatever they want.

  11. you guys are all idiots.. aaron is a dedicated player who doesn’t date and wins superbowls.. look at romo, 3 high profile gf’s and no rings. hmmm maybe a coincidence?

  12. no way!!!! You can have a kick ass take no prisoners career and still have a thriving personal life.

I’m certainly not a good example as I’m an entrepreneur (which translates to never an off day ever) and an ultra-competitive type A nut job who works in a field with a 25/1 guy to girl ratio….but even I was once recently engaged, despite all that going against me.

So I’m sure Aaron Rodgers can manage his time (especially in the offseason) since he has no doubt many more options than I.
