TSB Show is back and it’s better than ever, with an extremely action packed and very concise edition. TSB Show 9 covers a ton of ground, and it’s not “sticking to sports.” We have Chicago Bears Team Captain Akiem Hicks, New England Patriots legend Vince Wilfork and New York Giants, Illinois Fighting Illini legend/current NFL and college football announcer David Diehl.
Let’s run down all the topics we covered:
Akiem Hicks, appearing at Built Ford Tough Toughest Tailgate, discussed his recent contract extension and being named Chicago Bears Team Captain the night before this interview took place.
He also said that he doesn’t appreciate President Donald Trump’s comments about NFL players protesting, and said that goes against a lot of the values that this nation holds dear.
David Diehl represents himself on Twitter as hailing from “the University of Chief Illiniwek.” It’s the exact term he used to introduce his alma mater on Sunday and Monday Night Football during his playing days too.
You know exactly where he stands on the Chief/War Chant/Symbol imagery debate, and whether you agree with him or not, you’ve got to hear his segment.
Finally, Vince Wilfork discusses his Hurricane Harvey relief work, and what he experienced while helping out. He also articulated the racial harmony and cultural unity he witnessed, as he saw our country come together.
He’s a south Florida native, so he had to keep an eye on Hurricane Irma, and shift some concern there while helping out in Houston, the city where he played the final two years of his NFL career.
