SCHWARBOMB!!!!! SCHWARBURST!! SCHWARBEAST!!
Yes, the Kyle Schwarber SCHWARBLAST that landed on top of the new scoreboard versus the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS has inspired a new bobblehead doll which the club will give away as a promotional item this year. As of now, the ball and its case have been removed from the top of the jumbotron and moved to a secret location.
Quoting Ned Flanders “it’s a secret? sound spine-tingly-dingly.”
It’s not just Kyle Schwarber, but also Anthony Rizzo’s “the catch” has been bobblesized for this season.
The Cubs were busy sending out press releases yesterday, and they were releases with actual news in them, not corporate marketing bullshit trying to disguise itself as news like 99.999% of press releases are. In case you missed it the Cubs made some moves, and you can read about that here.
Below you’ll find the Cubs promo schedule for this season. Of course, this post in itself blurs the line between product promo and news. This “article” is a bit native advertisingy or sponsored contenty. But just be glad I didn’t post that stupid bullshit Terminix sent me about Kyrie Irving and the bed bugs. My intelligence was insulted by that desperate pathetic pitch.
I did take out all the corporate promos below though, and that took a bit of time. But again “presented by XYZ” only stays in the article if I get a cut of that, and sadly I do not, so it’s removed.
