Illinois football coach Tim Beckman revealed the 2012 Illinois “Loyal-Tee” shirt design Tuesday in front of Foellinger Auditorium in Champaign.
The winning design, featured on the front of the shirt, was voted on by thousands of Illini fans out of four designs based on the winning fan-submitted slogan, “A New Era BECKons.”
Get it? Cuz of Tim Beckman, beckons…”STEAKS AND CAKES!”
Beth Collins of Champaign submitted the winning slogan, which was chosen from over 750 entries. The back of the shirt features the 2012 Illinois football schedule. The “Loyal-Tee” shirt will be worn by the Block I student section during the 2012 season.
Starting today and throughout the 2012 season (through the final home game on Nov. 17), fans that wear their “Loyal-Tee” shirt will get discounts at certain businesses.
The shirt is also now available online.
