Harry Kane, the young star striker, England international and Tottenham Hotspur franchise cornerstone says that he recharged his battery while on winter break. The goal scoring machine that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino deemed not for sale, not at any price, says that he’s refreshed and ready for Spurs big workload ahead.
Kane is recovering from what’s been a grueling workload this past couple months. Tottenham have played in 12 games since the month of December began.
They also have three competitions in the next eight days.
“It has been great to get away and recharge the batteries, a bit of sunshine on your back can only help,” said Harry Kane, to the club’s official website.
“Obviously we’ve had a lot of games recently, but being together has been great and it will only help us going forward.”
“Everyone is fighting for the same thing at the moment and fighting for places in the team. It’s such a great spirit that we’ve got here and coming away all together has been brilliant. It shows what kind of team we are and what kind of team we want to be.”
“Obviously getting away from everything back home in terms of the routine has been good. It will help me and other players who have played a lot of minutes this season as well. We have another busy period now so when we can have times like this, it’s important and beneficial.”
Harry Kane came under some scrutiny after a bit of a slow start. However, he’s been on an amazing run of form since, as he has 13 goals in Premier League play this season. Kane has also started every single League match this season.
Tottenham will need Kane’s durability and production to continue if they are to stay in the top four till season’s end.
