The former Seattle Sounders (of American Major League Soccer) right-back arrived at Tottenham Hotspur in January of 2015, but found himself behind Kyle Walker on the Spurs depth chart. There just wasn’t going to be a lot of playing time opportunity for him in London and it was likely time that he moved on.
He’s been linked with a move to several clubs this summer, with Aston Villa usually the reported front-runner. Yedlin made just one appearance for Tottenham before being loaned out to Newcastle’s rivals, Sunderland last season.
