The 2024/2025 UEFA Europa League title contenders Tottenham are set to meet Roma in what promises to be a thrilling revenge fixture against Roma on 28th November. Tottenham currently has great form after starting their campaign with three resounding victories, against Qarabag FK, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar. Manager Ange Postecoglou’s side will welcome Roma at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hoping to exert revenge against Roma after losing their last game 1-0 at home in 2022.

Tottenham are hoping to exert their dominance in the UEFA Europa League early in the competition and a win against Roma will be a good way to do it. But can the Lilywhites book a win against Roma after facing Galatasaray or will they face another disappointing loss at home? Here is a preview of Tottenham against Roma, betting tops, and what fans can expect.

Can Tottenham seek revenge against Roma at home?

Pre-tournament Europa League favorites will be looking to dominate the league early in their bid to win the title. The Lilywhites are among the high-flies in the league phase and have displayed impressive prowess in their first three games.

Looking at the betting odds at Win Comparator, Ange Postecoglou’s side ranks as the favorite for this fixture, and betting experts believe they will record a 3-1 victory. Tottenham started their Europa League campaign with a resounding 3-0 win over Qarabag FK just days before beating Manchester United 0-3 for their Premier League campaign at Old Trafford.

Based on their performance so far in their Europa League campaign, Tottenham seems to be on an upward trend after beating Manchester City 2-1 their league campaign. As such, you can expect to see a very strong side with attacking prowess on the pitch as they welcome Roma, and betting experts predict the Lilywhite will win this match to strengthen their place for the automatic qualification spots for the knockout stage coming in 2025.

Roma hopes to add more points to their tally with an away win

While Roma started their campaign with a draw over Athletic Club followed by a loss against IF Elfsborg, the Serie A side seems to be bouncing back to their form after winning 1-0 over Dynamo Kyiv. Roma dominated over 60% of their game against Dynamo Kyiv, with impressive pass accuracy, despite only scoring one goal. As such, they will need to improve on their finishing if they are to prevail in this match against the on-form Tottenham.

For Roma to stand against Tottenham, they might need to play defensively to stop the Lilywhites from scoring. Tottenham is currently averaging 2 goals per match and they have a great chance of breaking Roma’s and scoring multiple goals. On the other hand, Roma is averaging 1.32 goals per game in the 2024 season and betting experts predict the match will end with over 2.5 goals. Captain Lorenzo Pellegrini’s side recently suffered a humiliating 5-1 loss against Fiorentina and they might have to replace coach Ivan Juric if their performance doesn’t improve.
