Tottenham Star Christian Eriksen Reportedly Targeted by Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspur winger/midfielder Christian Eriksen wants out of north London, badly, and given how things are going with the club, who can blame him. He reportedly snubbed a chance to move to Manchester United this summer, and given the current status quo at Old Trafford, it seems like he made the right call.

Eriksen’s first choice in destination is Real Madrid, and it’s possible that he could get the opportunity for the switch in January. However, it remains to be seen how well he would actually fit in at the Bernabeu. Well, a new potential suitor has entered the mix- Bayern Munich.

The source is a a report by SPORT1, a Danish outlet, that claims the Bavarian giants are hoping to get the playmaker at a cut rate in January, with THFC well aware that they risk losing him for free next summer. SPORT1 says Eriksen is on board with the idea of moving to Bayern, with NBC Sports saying that the Dane “could slide right into contention for a starting role with the club. He would be in competition with Thomas Muller and Philippe Coutinho for the main creative role.”

It seems like a deal that would make sense for all involved, and it’s certainly a transfer narrative to watch as draw closer to January; especially during international break periods such as these.
