Tottenham Hotspur Announce Club Record Signing of Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham have finally signed someone this summer and it’s Ajax central defender Davinson Sanchez. Mauricio Pochettino’s first addition of the summer transfer window will break the Tottenham Hotspur football club transfer fee record, so this is huge news.

The Dutch Eredivisie side confirmed that the 21-year-old will cost north London club €40 million (£36.6m), and that the sum could rise to €42m (£38.4m) with add-ons, depending on his appearances and production at White Hart Lane.

On Wednesday Tottenham officially announced the signing of Davinson Sanchez, who has now completed his paperwork and club medical. All the ink is dried, the Ts crossed and the Is dotted.

A statement attributed to Davinson Sanchez reads: “This is a massive opportunity for me because of what Tottenham represent, not just here in England but around the world. It’s a huge step forward in my career and will allow me to continue developing and achieving big things.
