Sometimes you get the breaks.
Other times, the breaks go against you. Or as INXS once sang, “sometimes you kick, sometimes you get kicked.” Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was completely robbed of a goal on New Year’s Eve in United’s 2-1 win over Middlesbrough. The scoring strike would have provided a milestone (more on that here), it was a total travesty that he was denied.
That said, today, in United’s 2-0 win at West Ham United, Ibrahimovic was awarded a goal in which he was obviously offsides. Take a look:
The refs took a glorious karate kick goal away; credit to Zlatan that in this match he plays to the whistle & scores from offsides. #WHUMUN pic.twitter.com/QuZNLaNtV3

Thus, it came off like a proverbial “make up call” handed to Ibrahimovic, just two days too late.
It cemented the W for United, who have now win six Premier League games in a row, and move to 11 straight undefeated in league play. That hasn’t happened since Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season, the league title year of 2012-13.
Also, you really need to see what Zlatan Ibrahimovic had to say about (or to) his critics. (Read that at this link- priceless!).
