Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says his side were “not good enough” and deserved no more than a point after their 1-1 draw away at Stoke City. He’s quite right- three away games, three draws, that’s not good enough to stay in the top four, because then it puts pressure on you to win every single home match.
And United have to reach the Champions League next year. Have to.
Here’s the Louis van Gaal postmatch interview. He said he really doesn’t get too excited from the 10 game unbeaten streak, because he is much concerned with how they play. As Van Gaal pointed out, the Red Devils struggled with long balls today. He also said that they had a similar issue when they played the Potters at home:
-Moving on from the Van Gaal comments, the only scoring strike for United today came from Radamel Falcao. Footage of this has been surprising difficult to find online. But here’s one YouTube of it below:
It’s rumored that Falcao is set to be offered a permanent version of his loan move. This news came down yesterday. What a way to celebrate.
