Paul Pogba Draws Controversial Yellow Card on Questionable Call

Manchester United are surprisingly locked in the midst of a dogfight with West Ham United. Although the Hammers are really struggling this season, hovering just above the relegation zone of the Premier League table, they’re giving the hosts at Old Trafford all that they can handle.

Give the Red Devils credit for dominating the first half, but the two sides still went to halftime tied at 1.  In the second half, the Red Devils came out flat and lost all momentum that they had built up. For midfielder Paul Pogba, it was an extremely eventful first half.

The world’s most expensive player got booked for diving. Is this a yellow card? Depends on your interpretation of the rules. Many thought it was the right call, but you can just as easily say that Pogba should NOT have been penalized.

Have a watch below:

So that was the bad for Pogba in the first half, here’s the good. Watch him set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic here with a gorgeous pass. The Swede finishes it off with a superb header, providing the only scoring for the hosts thus far.

Pogba is top ten nationally trending on Twitter right now and for very good reason. Take a look at this video

Also Manager Jose Mourinho did not care for the diving call. His emotional reaction to the questionable call, kicking a water bottle on the touch line) got him sent off. He’ll watch the second half from the stands.
