The story of the Manchester United season thus far has been missed opportunities. The Red Devils have consistently created a lot of scoring chances, but haven’t been converted them, in many league fixtures this campaign. This phenomenon has led to Manager Jose Mourinho claiming that Manchester United are the unluckiest club in the Premier League.
It also prompted Paul Pogba to publicly say that United are going to start believing that they’re cursed; should things not change.
Fitting then, that Paul Pogba is the player who had numerous scoring chances today versus Sunderland, but couldn’t finish any of them.
He’s been extremely unlucky today, and it got Twitter buzzing…until the 82′ when Zlatan Ibrahimovic got the badly needed second goal to finally finish off the Black Cats.
Here’s a collection of some of the more telling, interesting and entertaining Paul Pogba tweets posted today:
Pogba has come so close so many times today to scoring! A Pogba goal is coming ?? #MUFC

Overall, Paul Pogba had a sensational game, but didn’t score and that misfortune had users of the micro-blogging platform talking. Henrikh Mkhitaryan would go on to add a third goal to make it 3-1, before Fabio Borini got an extra time brace for Sunderland.
Final score was United 3, Sunderland 1.
