Manchester United winger Nani looks set to join Inter Milan on an initial loan deal according to the Metro. This would completely contradict what Nani said in September when he said he turned down offers from other football clubs to sign a new long-term deal with Manchester United.
“I must say I am very happy that my future has now been sorted out and everything has been resolved satisfactorily,’ Nani said in the Daily Mail at the time.
‘It’s never nice when you’re not too sure what might be round the corner, but there is no need to worry now. I can be more relaxed and focus 100 per cent on my job of helping the team to be successful. That is the aim, and I am looking forward to the challenge,’ Nani continued.
Of course, that was more than four months ago, and so many things can change in that time frame.
From Caught Offside
The 27 year old wide-man has accepted a move to the San Siro and paperwork is being processed that will lead to the Portuguese international joining the Italian giants after a frustrating last couple of seasons at Old Trafford. Nani has been in and out of the Man United starting eleven for the best past of three seasons and under David Moyes the attacker has managed just five Premier League starts, this despite the fact that the likes of Nani and Ashley Young have both failed to impress.
