Manchester United Winger Marouane Fellaini has now finished serving his three-match suspension, with the 3-1 win over Bournemouth. With the conquest of the Cherries complete, but ultimately not enough to salvage a top four finish from a very disappointing season, United now move on to take Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
Fellaini, who scored one of the two United goals in their 2-1 victory over Everton in the FA Cup semifinal, could end up being a major factor in the match tomorrow.
Today the Belgian attacking midfielder made some comments to the media insisting that he’s not a dirty player.
Fellaini told the Daily Mirror: “Everyone has their opinion. If I had to listen to all the opinions about me, my head would explode. So I just focus on my job, the manager, my team-mates, the club.
“I know when I do bad and good. I’m not a dirty player. People can think whatever they want.
“I never injured a player. Never. I just react. Maybe sometimes I am impulsive, I say that. It’s my character. But, when someone pulls your hair, it’s normal to react.
“For this situation, I don’t deserve to be punished. Huth grabbed my hair, he made pain on my neck, so I just react.
“Come on. If someone grabs your hair, you will react the same. The managers, the players, the staff the club, everyone knows it was a normal reaction. That’s why my teammates and the manager were not angry with me.”
The dirty play that landed Marouane Fellaini in hot water was caught on video and you can watch it below. Leicester City’s Robert Huth, joined Fellaini in being charged by the Football Association with violent conduct.
Fellaini elbowed Huth after getting his hair pulled by the Leicester man. Here’s footage of the incident:
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Robert Huth has a jaw made of concrete? He didn't even flinch https://t.co/6O1sZdylL2

United manager Louis van Gaal stuck up for Fellaini in hilarious fashion by saying that hair-pulling is only allowed in “sex masochism.”
Fellaini said in response to that analogy: “I saw that. It made me laugh. And he is right.”
