The Man City France official Twitter account took a blatant shot at Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini today. It was a savage sting, and it’s the kind of things that often happen in heated rivalries such as this.
Man City France posted a photo of a mystery player training in the fog, and wrote “If you find out who is hidden by the fog, you are unplayable…’
One Twitter user responded by saying Fellaini. The Man City France account replied, “no, he is a football player”
Woah, sick burn!
That dig was retweeted and liked many times.
Later, the mystery player was unveiled to be Leroy Sane, but the damage was done, and it coincidentally comes at a time when Fellaini is missing time on the pitch as he battles a mysterious knee injury, and no time table is known at this time. Tensions between the two Manchester clubs are as high as they have ever been, as just nine days ago you had the brouhaha in the Old Trafford tunnel.
After City emerged victorious at United 2-1 on December 10, an incident escalated into a fracas between the two clubs, and bad blood between the two clubs is certainly present in abundance.
