It was reported back in April that Marcus Rashford was attracting interest from Jay Z, with the rapper’s Roc Nation Sports company interested in representing him. That’s how big the Manchester United striker, completely obscure a couple months ago, is getting these days- Jay-Z might come calling.
You know you have arrived when Hova/The Roc is scouting you. Today, Rashford’s club made his ascension in the world official, by announcing a new contract extension.

Marcus Rashford said in a statement:
“I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I have always been a Manchester United fan, so to be playing in the first team really is a dream come true. I am grateful for having the chance to prove myself. To be able to play football at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.”
Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward urged patience with the youngster (please don’t call him a starlet, we hate that term “starlet) on ManUtd.com:
“Marcus is a naturally talented footballer with great potential. He has taken his chances well and has integrated into the first team very quickly. I am delighted that Marcus has signed a new contract, he is at the right club to continue his development. He is still very young and we need to be patient but he is developing in the right way and we believe he has a great future ahead of him.”
What a huge day for the teenage Mancunian forward, whose deal will run until 2020. The salary amount/pay increase has not been leaked yet. Rashford, who scored 8 goals in 18 appearances since joining the starting XI, is also seeing his profile rise with the England National Team as they prepare for the 2016 European Championships.
