Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has revealed the gruesome head injury that he suffered during the Manchester Derby this past Sunday. The Argentine took a knock on the noggin from a collision with Manchester City superstar David Silva. Rojo’s head started bleeding, and he had to leave the pitch in order to get his wounded cleaned and treated.
Marcos Rojo did come back into the game, won by City 2-1, but was subbed off at half time.
Victor Lindelof served as his replacement. As for Silva, he was not injured, and even went on to earn man of the match honors as his goal opened the Derby scoring. The Daily Mirror has more Marcos Rojo injury photos, as well as some quotes from United’s manager, via the club’s official web channel.
“He’s a brave guy,” Jose Mourinho told MUTV following the clash. “I don’t know, let’s see if he can be ready for the match. but if he’s not ready, we have other alternatives to play.
