Premier League is on Telemundo this Sunday, November 10 at 11AM ET/10C/8P as Arsenal looks to make an early statement against Manchester United. The Gunners visit Old Trafford with a chance to distance themselves in the standings with an 11-point lead over the defending champions, who feature Mexico’s “Chicharito,” Javier Hernandez on their side.
Andrés Cantor will be on the call of this clash between two Premier League powerhouses alongside Sammy Sadovnik’s analysis and commentary.
Manchester United hasn’t lost in its past eight matches, including a 0-0 tie against Real Sociedad in Spain in Champions League play this past Tuesday. The Red Devils will count on three world class strikers such as Hernandez, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie to inflict some damage against the league’s fifth best defense, which has allowed just nine goals in 10 matches.
The Arsenal defense is so stout that it hasn’t allowed more than one goal in any Premier League match thus far, and the Gunners become that much more formidable as tournament leaders having scored 22 goalsof their own, which makes them the second best offense in the league led by the likes of Aaron Ramsey. Ramsey scored in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Liverpool last Saturday and stands alone as the team’s top scorer with six goals.
Manchester United has not fallen against Arsenal, one of their fiercest and most traditional rivals, at home since 2006, and in 2011 they made history by defeating Arsene Wenger’s squad 8-2 in what was one of the most lopsided results in the history of this rivalry. I know everyone says this all the time, but it bears repeating, how awesome is it that the Manager of Arsenal has a first name which is so close to the name of his team? Especially when it’s such a unique name to begin with. Arsenal Arsene…kind of cool.
