This Saturday, Dean Court will host the 15th meeting between Manchester United FC and AFC Bournemouth, a series that has been extremely one-sided. United have won nine of those meetings, while the Cherries have taken just two, in 1984 and 2015. Obviously, the other five meetings in the series resulted in a draw.
Saturday’s match on the south coast brings a more unique dynamic to the series though as it’s Cherries who are currently higher in the table than United, not the other way around like we’re used to seeing. Bournemouth sit sixth in the table having taken 20 points from the first 10 matches. Meanwhile United, who finished second last season, sit a very disappointing eighth, having acquired just 17 points from their first ten.
Let’s take a look at who manager Jose Mourinho might select in his first team, in an effort to take all three points from this match and draw level in the table with the opposition.
