-Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo became the all time leading scorer in World Cup history among European players today. CR7 scored his fourth goal of the tournament to help Portugal beat Morocco 1-0 and move closer towards securing a place in the knockout round.
The probability of advancing is really high for Portugal right now, and United fans are in awe of Ronaldo’s four goals through two games. Earlier this year, a fan poll voted Ronaldo the best player in United history over the course of the Premier League era.

-Turning to transfer news now, United are set to put the final details on the acquisition of midfielder Fred this week. The official announcement, which could come tomorrow, has been held up over the wait for a work permit. Sky Sports has more at this link.
-Sticking with the summer transfer window, the odds on United acquiring Chelsea playmaker Willian have been slashed. The Brazilian has been a transfer target of manager Jose Mourinho’s for quite some time, and with a lot of upheaval likely at Stamford Bridge this summer, the time may be right for a move.
