If Manchester United want to acquire Juventus star Paulo Dybala, they’re going to have to break the bank. (Then perhaps Jose Mourinho can finally say he’s been given a true transfer budget to work with?!) Dybala has been linked to United many times in transfer rumors over the years, going back to his days with Palermo.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juve have set a price for Dybala, and that astronomical cost is 150 million Euro ($178m, £133.1m). Of course, United must compete against all the heavy hitters in order to sign him.
The Italian newspaper has a cute little Christmas tree graphic, that features Paulo Dybala as a tree ornament for a cadre of the biggest clubs- United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Old Lady boss Massimiliano Allegri engineers a toy train underneath the tree.
The report goes on to state that United aren’t even really in discussions for the playmaker yet, and if even if he were to move, it wouldn’t be until summer anyway. CDS writes:
“some agents tell us that at home Juve came a phone call from Ed Woodward, United’s deputy managing director (and operative), but that was immediately cut off. More than rejected, not even discussed.”
The Argentinian has scored 15 times with four assists in 25 matches for Juve across all competitions after putting up a 19 and nine in 48 matches last campaign.
