Manchester United will resume action tomorrow at home versus Newcastle United as the international break is just about over now. We’ve got you covered for match preview content:

here is the link to our MUFC starting XI prediction, and the link to the injury report for both teams.

Let’s take a look at what else is trending in the Man Utd cyberspace and Twitterverse.

nemanja matic

-ESPN FC says that United have made back some of the money they sent over to Chelsea this summer in order to acquire Nemanja Matic. This cash infusion comes from Danny Drinkwater moving to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City.

ESPN writes that:

“United signed Matic from Chelsea in July for a fee of £35 million which could rise to £40m.

“But just weeks later they received a portion of it back when Chelsea agreed a £30m deal with Leicester for Drinkwater because of a sell-on clause in the former United youth team player’s contract. Drinkwater left United for Leicester in 2012.”

zlatan ibrahimovic

-Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted that he would be good with playing in a number 10 role behind Romelu Lukaku, who has assumed the number nine position at Old Trafford this season. Lukaku has said that adding Ibrahimovic will be key to help United’s title chances, while Ibra maintains that having Lukaku on board makes his life easier.

In a promotional video for Volvo, Ibrahimovic said: “To me, No. 10 is the star.”

“The one who makes the difference, gets noticed, wins the matches and is the leader. And I see myself in that position but it is not something that is given to you; it is just something you are. That’s just the way it is.

“To be honest, it is like a trigger for me coming back from that injury because I wore the No. 10 in the Swedish national team and PSG. I would have worn it at Inter, but I soon moved to Barcelona. I wanted it in Milan but took another number out of respect. In Ajax I didn’t have it.

“I feel like a 10 and I stand for No. 10. It will go down in history that I always had No. 10.”

Marcus Rashford and Neymar were chatting it up in the tunnel ahead of the England-Brazil friendly, and the Daily Mirror got their hands on the link which caught the conversation and transcribed it. Don’t get your hopes up though- there isn’t much here in this convo to write home about.
